The struggle is real.
You slog your ass off for an hour in the morning when the whole world is asleep – the sweat is pouring off of you, your legs feel like they are going to fall off, and your lungs are screaming non-stop in protest.
The only rewards are the numbers that show up on the monitor – 403 kcal/ AVG 144 bpm.
That makes it all worth it.
Well, mostly.
The rest of the day passes in a haze. Partly because the weather makes you want to curl up and nod off and partly because your legs still feel like jelly.
Crisis comes in the form of break time at 5 p.m.
Don’t snack, don’t snack, don’t snack….
You don’t need that samosa, or that vada pav, or that potato bonda, you definitely don’t need it….
Self-control takes a hit and the crunch of the samosa hits the sweet spot on its way to the tummy.
It is not until later that MyFitnessPal fires up and tells me that one ‘average’ Indian samosa contains 430 kcal.
And my macros are shot to hell as well. Obviously.
So much for AVG 144 bpm.
Ah well.
Last thoughts before the senses lose their battle with sleep….
Tomorrow. It will be better.

The struggle is definitely very, very real.

I hear you, sister! It's so hard not to give in to temptation. But my logic is that as long as you work it off, the calories don't count ;)
